Faith in the Midst of Loss When we lose someone we love, the world doesn’t stop. The sun still rises. People keep talking. Life moves on — but we don’t. Not right away. And in that quiet ache, people turn to something greater — to God, to Source, to Spirit… to faith. Not always for answers. But for presence. For comfort. For meaning. In Christianity, we hear: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” In Islam: “Indeed, with hardship comes ease.” In Judaism: “He will wipe away every tear.” In Buddhism: “Suffering is not punishment. It’s a teacher.” In Hinduism: “The soul is neither born, nor does it ever die.” No matter the tradition — faith doesn’t take away the pain. But it gives us a hand to hold through it. A promise that love is never wasted. That souls are eternal. That we are not alone.
