Another raw update from the Canadian Carnivore Dad (Jay): After dropping over 110 lbs on strict carnivore (started at nearly 400 lbs, now ~220-230), I hit a brutal 1.5-month plateau. No scale movement. Why? I stopped tracking calories/carbs religiously.
I thought I wasn't eating more... but old habits crept in: snacky boredom eats, extra sausages/eggs without logging. Even on 100% carnivore, no tracking = no deficit. Winter + less movement didn't help. Body adaptation is real too.
Still strict carnivore (mostly chicken, ground beef, occasional steak/air fryer treats). Face slimmer, better sleep/ADHD focus, holding muscle. Loose belly skin might be hiding real progress—no surgery needed yet.
