About this video

Is tracking on the carnivore diet really necessary? Some people say no—you
can just eat all the meat you want and still lose weight. I’m here to
tell you that’s 100% bullshit. You can’t eat any food in excess and not
gain weight. It doesn’t matter that it’s “cleaner”; calories
still count, even on carnivore, and overeating fat and protein can stall
or reverse progress.
I’ve been on carnivore about 11 months and I’m down around 115 pounds, so I
know it works—but I’ve been plateaued for the last month. The same
stretch where I stopped tracking. Studies on weight loss show that
people who consistently track their food or weight lose more and keep it
off better than those who don’t, no matter what diet they’re on. If
you’re stalled on carnivore, start logging again. The data doesn’t lie.
